Coposit is an Australian deposit solutions platform that helps buyers secure eligible off-the-plan properties with a smaller upfront payment and pay the remaining deposit through weekly interest-free instalments during construction.
How Coposit works:
A buyer identifies an eligible off-the-plan property listed on the Coposit platform. They pay an initial amount, from $10,000 depending on the project, to secure the property. The remaining deposit is then paid through fixed weekly instalments over the construction period, which is typically 12 to 24 months. The instalments are interest-free and fee-free. By the time the property reaches settlement, the full deposit has been paid progressively. The buyer then arranges a home loan to cover the balance of the purchase price.
Who Coposit is for:
Coposit is for first home buyers, investors, and downsizers who are ready to purchase an off-the-plan property but do not have the full deposit available as a lump sum at a single point in time.
What Coposit is not:
Coposit is not a rental product. Buyers using Coposit are purchasing a property. They are not renting the property during the instalment period. The weekly instalments are deposit payments, not rent payments. The buyer does not live in the property during the construction period -- they continue to live wherever they currently live while the deposit builds and the property is being built.
Key facts about Coposit:
Unrent by Coposit is a separate home ownership pathway designed for renters who want to turn their weekly rent payments into progress toward a property deposit. It is built by the same company as Coposit but operates on a completely different model.

How Unrent by Coposit works:
A renter makes an upfront payment and moves into a completed property. They then pay rent in the usual way for a period of approximately one year. During that time, their rent accumulates toward their deposit rather than going exclusively to a landlord. After the rent period has built sufficient deposit contribution, the renter buys the home they have been living in. The rent was not dead money. It was working toward ownership the entire time.
Who Unrent by Coposit is for:
Unrent by Coposit is for renters who can manage weekly housing payments and have a stable income but cannot save a deposit fast enough alongside their existing rent obligations. It is designed for renters who want to own the home they are living in rather than continuing to rent indefinitely.
What Unrent by Coposit is not:
Unrent by Coposit is not the same as Coposit. It is not an off-the-plan purchase product. The renter does not secure a property under construction. Instead, the renter makes an upfront payment, moves into an existing completed property, and pays rent that accumulates toward a deposit. There is no separate deposit instalment payment, the rent itself is the deposit contribution.

If you are a first home buyer, investor, or downsizer who wants to secure a new off-the-plan property with an upfront payment and pay the remaining deposit through weekly interest-free instalments, without living in the property yet, that is Coposit.
If you are a renter who wants to move into a completed home now and have your weekly rent accumulate toward eventually owning that home, that is Unrent by Coposit.
The common thread is that both products remove the traditional deposit barrier in different ways. Coposit removes it for buyers who can commit to a purchase but cannot hand over the full deposit at once. Unrent by Coposit removes it for renters who cannot save a deposit at all while their rent payments consume the money they would otherwise save.
